Welcome back to our blog! It’s been a while since we’ve posted and we’ve plenty to update you on!

Since our last post (in 2020!!) a lot has changed here at Needles and Pins. We have been kept busy with several large jobs and the work has been flooding in for our sister company, Tica Lily. As many of you are aware, All Sewn Up Ltd underwent a rebranding and thus Tica Lily was born. Fear not – they still offer the same services but have taken on a couple of larger, more regular jobs. Most excitingly, Tim and Carole founded Cartim Recyclables earlier this year. They produce plastic free, recyclable gowns for the hairdressing and beauty industry. You can read more about this fabulous sustainable product here.

In July we sadly said goodbye to Agnieszka who left us for pastures new. Agnieszka had been with us since 2018, joining just after we moved into our Somerton factory. She went on to become manager of All Sewn Up Ltd and then Tica Lily. We wish her all the best in her new role!

Jean has stepped in as manageress of Tica Lily, with Kelly rising to the challenge of covering Abbie’s role as trainee manager. Barbara, Charlotte, Tina and Michelle have also joined the team working between Needles and Pins and Tica Lily.

Whilst new faces have joined us here in the factory, we have also had two exciting new additions to the Needles and Pins family. We would like to offer our huge congratulations to both Abbie and Emma who welcomed their bundles of joy earlier this year! Emma and Matt welcomed Oliver Henry Thompson on 13th March, weighing 7lb 10oz and a couple of months later, on his great grandad’s birthday, Abbie and Jay welcomed Loki Ernest Nelson Ashman on 7th May, weighing 10lb 8oz. The team have enjoyed meeting Oliver and Loki and having lots of cuddles!

We look forward to seeing Abbie and Emma again soon and having them back in the sewing rooms!
